Ryan Denton
He/ Him
Ryan grew up in Suffolk and has pursued a career in arts and community outreach from a young age. He has a keen interest in directing and curating live experiences, and co-founded Ordinary Stories Theatre to explore the ‘extraordinary’ in the ‘ordinary’. He is particularly interested in the connections between natural spaces and human lives.
Ryan studied Drama Applied Theatre and Education BA (Hons) at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where he met fellow OST founders. Whilst studying, Ryan supported the outreach of the RCSSD Youth Theatre, WAC Arts, Attic Theatre Company and Theatre Peckham. Since graduation, Ryan has undertaken stage management roles on Pan! Come out to play – Theatre Peckham 2024, The LeftBehinds – National Theatre 2025 and The Reckoning – Dash Arts 2025.
In 2025, Ryan was mentored by Matt Jewson as part of the Mercury Creatives programme.
Beyond his work in stage management and community theatre, Ryan is a Group Lead Volunteer, Trustee and UK Youth Advocate in Scouts and a freelance website administrator.
