Ordinary Stories Theatre run workshops which inform and inspire our theatre making. Our workshops connect to nature, rurality, and community. Workshops can be adapted for all age groups. Please get in touch if you’re interested in us running a workshop in your community or organisation.

  • The OST Method

    OST devise all of their productions, and use improvisation as a stimulus for playwrighting. Join us to learn about the ways we make theatre!

  • Introduction to Puppetry

    At OST, we love puppetry! Join us as we teach you how to bring natural and found objects to life. Improvise and devise scenes with your puppets, and combine these with movement practices.

    Workshop can be tailored to focus on specific puppetry styles (e.g. shadow puppetry and design)

  • Zine Making

    Get creative and make your own zine! In this hands-on, table-top workshop, you’ll be guided through the process of creating a zine from scratch, with plenty of opportunities to experiment with your own ideas.

    Workshop suitable and adaptable to all ages.

  • Script Analysis

    This practical and playful workshop is designed to interrogate scripts through creative exploration. We’ll get the text off the page, into the room, and into action — unpicking scenes, testing choices, and discovering new ways into the material.

  • Seasons and Rituals

    Connecting with the natural world is big part of what we do at OST. This workshop uses arts, crafts and intention setting to welcome in the upcoming season, and create a shared piece of artwork for participants to keep.
